3-марта на кафедре «Телематика» КГТУ им. И. Раззакова состоялась заключительная лекция – симпозиум специального курса — «Продвижение Азиатского сообщества. Формирование электронного - Азиатского сообщества», при поддержке фонда Единая Азия (Япония).

Данный проект в сотрудничестве с KRENA (Kyrgyz Research Education Network Association) стартовал в 2013 году и 2016 год является третьим годом проведения данного курса.

The Kyrgyz language is officially included to the Google Translate service

Today happened something that Kyrgyz people waited for a long time - Kyrgyz language was included to the popular Google Translate service. Service has more than a million Kyrgyz phrases and more than 3.5 million words.

Work on the project began in 2014 and ended in almost two years. "It is the merit of all volunteers who participated in the project, who translated phrases. We only coordinated their work, encouraged them. But they did most of the work. We conducted events like Kyrgyz Translate, in which more than 700 people participated. I think this is a first major success of the volunteer movement in Kyrgyzstan ", - said K-News head of public fund "Bizdin Muras" Chorobek Saadanbekov.

The Committee of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic approved a draft agreement between the EU

On November 17, 2015 Committee of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic on social affairs, education, science, culture and health approved the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union on "Central Asian Research and Education Network" project.

The purpose of the program is to combine national research and education networks in Central Asia into one network and provide access to pan-European research and education network (GEANT).

During the implementation of CAREN project universities, schools, libraries of the Kyrgyz Republic and Central Asian countries were provided with high-speed Internet and had access to research and education GEANT network. Since 2010 KRENA participates in the implementation of the CAREN project in Kyrgyzstan.

The Prime Minister Temir Sariyev signed decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

European Commission "Central Asian Research and Education Network” (CAREN) project implemented since 2009 in order to support research and education in Central Asian countries through improvement of the quality and speed of access to the European research and education networks. Second phase of the project- CAREN2 finished in August 2015. This program is intended for the Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

In order to implement the third phase of the program (2016 - 2020). The European Union prepared financial agreement between the EC and the Kyrgyz Republic. The third phase of CAREN project is aimed for further development of the applications (telemedicine, distance learning, e-culture, disaster risk management), and to achieve stability of the Kyrgyz Research and Education Network (KRENA).
